Extron HDMI DVI-D/50 manual

The Extron HDMI to DVI adapters offer interconnection between HDMI and DVI cables and

devices. They pass through all the HDTV and computer signals of a single link HDMI and

DVI, including digital video, digital audio, EDID (DDC), HPD, CEC, and HDCP. All the contact

pins are gold plated for high performance and reliability; the male side has thumb screws,

and the female side has hex nuts for attachment.

Pin 13 of the HDMI connector and pin 8 of the DVI connector

are connected for passing CEC signals.

The Extron HDMI and DVI cables offer interconnection between HDMI and DVI devices.

3 feet up to 200 feet (0.9 m up to 61 m) [HDMI to DVI cables are from 3 feet to 50 feet (0.9 m

up to 15.2 m)]. They carry uncompressed HDTV high definition digital video as well as a control

signal on a single cable. The HDMI male to HDMI male cable fully supports HDMI 1.3 Category 2

performance for cable lengths of 3 feet, 6 feet, and 12 feet. HDMI and DVI cables longer than

75 feet should be used with the Extron DVI DL 101, DVI 101, or HDMI 101 Cable Equalizer.

• Cables 12 feet or less in length are constructed

with 24 AWG wire. Cables longer than 12 feet

are constructed with 22 AWG wire.

• Pin 13 of the HDMI and pin 8 of the DVI

are connected for passing CEC signals.
