Congratulations on the purchase of your Djoclate by Pepperdecks!
The Djoclate is an audio mixer that connects two devices to your stereo at the same time. The
Djoclate works with any device with a headphone/headset output (3.5mm), such as smart phones,
tablets, MP3 players, laptops, etc.
How do I connect the Djoclate to my devices and stereo?
> Use the included 3.5mm jack to jack cables(s) to connect one device to the Input Channel
Left and/or another device to the Input Channel Right.
> Plug the 3.5mm jack that is connected to your stereo (cable not included), into the Output
of the Djoclate.
How do I use the Djoclate when connected?
> By pushing a fader up, you increase the volume of the respective channel on the left or
right. Pushing a fader down, decreases the volume.
> You can make a smooth transition from one channel to the other by pushing one fader up
while pushing down the other one.
> Activate the bass-kill knob (knob in pushed down position) to reduce the lower frequency
tones of the respective channel. For example during a transition, to prevent an excess of low
frequency tones while playing both channels at the same time.
> De-activate the bass-kill knob (knob in higher position) to bring back the normal volume
level of the lower frequency tones.
IMPORTANT TECHNICAL NOTES ON THE BATTERY FREE DJOCLATE
The Djoclate is a ‘passive’ device: it does not require a battery. It uses the input signals of the devices to
which it is connected. Therefore the output signal of the Djoclate is dependent on the characteristics of
the connected devices and cables.
A passive device like the Djoclate has an internal resistance. Therefore the output signal of the Djoclate is
a bit quieter than the output signal of the connected device itself. You can simply compensate for this by
increasing the volume of your stereo.
Pushing a fader up or down and (de-)activating the bass kill knobs aect the internal resistance and
therefore aects the output signal of the Djoclate a bit.
The output signals of dierent devices (e.g. a phone compared to a laptop) often vary. If you connect two
devices to the Djoclate, set the volume of the device with the lowest output signal to the maximum and
adjust the volume level of the other device to the same level. In this way the Djoclate generates the same
volume levels at both channels.
This product conforms to European CE EMC Directive EN55032, EN55035, EN61000-3-2, EN61000-3-3 and
American FCC sDOC Directive Part 15B, and is eligible to bear CE and FCC marking.
This symbol on the product or on its packaging indicates that this product shall not be treated as
household waste. Instead it shall be handed over to the applicable collection point for the recycling of
electrical and electronic equipment. By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help
prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health, which could otherwise
be caused by inappropriate waste handling of this product. The recycling of materials will help to conserve
natural resources. For more detailed information about recycling of this product, please contact your local
civic oce, your household waste disposal service or the shop where you purchased the product.
If within 12 months of purchase this device or any part thereof is proven to be defective by reason of
faulty workmanship or defects in materials, we will at our option repair or replace the same free of charge
of labor or materials on condition that: the original invoice or sales receipt with the date of purchase, or
stampfrom the dealer is presented together with the defective unit.
The warranty does not cover Product failures which have been caused by use of accessories or other
peripheral devices which are not Pepperdecks branded original accessories intended for use with the
product.
The warranty does not cover Product failures caused by: modication, repaired, and disassembled by any
person who is not authorized by the manufacturer.
Any defective unit or part shall become property of the manufacturer.
The warranty does not cover any damage caused by misuse, drop, hit or neglect.

Le Djoclate est un mixer audio qui connecte deux appareils à votre stéréo en même temps. Le Djoclate
fonctionne avec tout appareil avec une sortie (3.5mm) pour écouteurs/un casque audio, tels que smart
phones, tablettes, lecteurs MP3, ordinateurs, etc.
Comment connecter le Djoclate à mes appareils et à ma stéréo ?
> Utilisez le câble jack 3.5mm pour connecter un appareil à l’Entrée Canal Gauche et/ou un
autre appareil à l’Entrée Canal Droite.
> Branchez le câble jack 3.5mm connecté à votre stéréo (ce câble n’est pas inclus), dans la
Sortie du Djoclate.
Comment utiliser le Djoclate une fois connecté?
> En déplaçant le fader vers le haut, vous augmentez le volume du canal correspondant
à gauche et à droite. En déplaçant le fader vers le bas, vous diminuez le volume.
> Vous pouvez assurer une transition en douceur d’un canal à un autre en déplaçant un
fader vers le haut tout en déplaçant l’autre vers le bas.
> Activez le bouton bass-kill (bouton en position basse) pour réduire les tonalités basses
du canal correspondant. Par exemple pendant une transition, pour éviter un excès de
tonalités à basse fréquence lorsque vous jouez avec les deux canaux en même temps.
> Désactivez le bouton bass-kill (bouton en position haute) pour ramener le volume à un
niveau normal de tonalités à basse fréquence.
NOTES TECHNIQUES IMPORTANTES SUR LE FONCTIONNEMENT SANS PILE DU DJOCLATE
Le Djoclate est un appareil ‘passif’ : il ne nécessite pas de pile ou de chargeur. Il utilise les signaux d’entrée
des appareils auxquels il est connecté. Aussi, le signal de sortie du Djoclate dépend-il des caractéristiques
des appareils connectés et des câbles.
Un appareil passif comme le Djoclate a une résistance interne. Par conséquent, le signal de sortie du
Djoclate est un peu plus silencieux que le signal de sortie de l’appareil connecté même. Vous pouvez
facilement compenser cela en augmentant le volume de votre stéréo.
Le déplacement du fader vers le bas ou vers le haut et l’activation/la désactivation du bouton bass-kill
modie la résistance interne et par conséquent diminue un peu le signal de sortie du Djoclate.
Les signaux de sortie des appareils varient souvent (par ex. un téléphone comparé à un ordinateur). Si
vous connectez deux appareils au Djoclate, paramétrez le volume de l’appareil au signal de sortie le
plus bas au maximum et ajustez le volume de l’autre appareil au même niveau. De cette façon, le
Djoclate génère les mêmes niveaux de volume sur les deux canaux.
Ce produit est conforme aux directives européennes CE CEM EN55032, EN55035, EN61000-3-2,
EN61000-3-3 et la directive sDOC américaine FCC, Partie 15B, est éligible au marquage CE et FCC.
Ce symbole, apposé sur le produit ou sur son emballage, indique que ce produit ne doit pas être traité
